Should I flag an "answer" that doesn't actually answer the question, but was accepted anyway?
I don't have an opinion/answer on this, and I'm unsure if accepted answers can be deleted. But as a general rule, and on any SE site, the accepted answer isn't always the best. Most of the time, you should go for the more upvoted answers instead.

Don't worry about downvotes on Meta. They just mean that people "disagree" rather than that it's a "bad question". In this case, if people downvote, you can read it as they answered "no". (Reputation isn't affected by votes on Meta, neither negative nor positive)

Why doesn't StackExchange editor support auto synced source and result?
There's actually an active project that SE is working on to revamp the whole editor. You can enable it on your meta.se account and try it in the sandbox question. They do not offer a side-by-side preview, but they offer editing of rich-text format directly. I haven't followed up on the news about it, but it's still in active development and open-source on GitHub.

Reminder: Don't close old questions as EOL if the release was supported when the question was posted
I agree with that. It clutters the queue with unnecessary posts. However, I would like to challenge these types of questions: i.sstatic.net/eyQyk.png. Once a post is picked by the community user to be bumped, it will keep bumping to no end. If the question is now EOL, no one will answer it even though it wasn't EOL back then. This is one example: askubuntu.com/posts/859721/revisions

Can we [safely] remove this tag?
I agree. That tag makes no sense. There are only 12 questions tagged with it. I would recommend just editing them all and removing/replacing that tag. (12 questions for 4 different meanings is just absurd lol)

Ask Ubuntu on mobile has an extremely large font size
Ah thanks! Guess just need to wait it out for now as it seems to be a server side caching issue based on the answer to that question

can we do anything about the front page being literally filled with spam
@C.S.Cameron as for your recent edit, you can't delete users, only mods can ban them. Most AU mods, if not all, are on strike. So nothing can be done about this. Once the strike is over, charcoal will take care of incoming spam again (not sure about old posts though). Best is to flag the posts if you want yo keep moderating. If enough people flag as spam, the system should auto-ban the users posting them and delete the posts.

@ArturMeinild well some people aren't interested in the strike, and that's probably what SE is betting on. I don't think much can be done other that nudging or asking people to join the strike. If they aren't interested, then that's unfortunate.

Dialling down the boilerplate
I totally agree with this (sorry for the self-promotion), but I asked about your second example about 5 years ago. It's sad to see this is still an issue :(

Ban ChatGPT and AI-generated answers on Ask Ubuntu?
There will always be good intentions for almost anything "not allowed". However, when the bad outweighs the good by a large margin, it's easier to just ban an issue outright until (if ever) a proper plan can be achieved. In the case of ChatGPT, the amount of spam and reputation farming on the SE sites seems to be astronomical. Everyone helping maintain the sites is a volunteer (talking about moderators and users). Having to spend time fact-checking if a ChatGPT answer is correct or not because most users don't isn't something the community is willing to do. Otherwise, overall quality will drop

Should this ostensible duplicate about dropping privileges be reopened?
It is most likely related to some -now deleted- comments by the OP. The second answer answers the OP's question correctly, but the initial answer is accepted. This makes me assume that the OP just didn't word the question directly and wanted to switch to root mode. I can't be certain though.

Why are new users not allowed to post images below 10 reputation?
I don't find that question to be a duplicate. That question's answer is "new users are not allowed to post images". While this question is asking clarification about that answer.
