Ubuntu 23.10 is now on-topic!
If you upgraded from an older version of Ubuntu, you may not see the "App Center" app, only "Ubuntu Software". This is a bug, solved here. I was confused by this at first.

Should we allow questions that are about releases which are considered End of Life?
This answer has not aged well. AskUbuntu is full of out of date information, but if you post a good new question, it can get closed as a duplicate of an ancient question with ancient answers that don't exactly match the needs of today's visitors. I don't know what the solution is, but the community needs a better strategy for deprioritising out of date information, rather than prioritising it. I don't think we should necessarily close the old questions, but we shouldn't have a "who cares" attitude.

Should we unpin the accepted answer from the top of the list on meta?
I agree that it would be useful to have pinned posts on Meta to highlight the decision of staff or so on. But the way it works now is that the original poster is the only one with the ability to pin an answer, and they can pin an answer for any reason at all. If they want to, they could pin the least useful answer. That's why I don't think we should pin accepted answers in Meta.

Should we have a canon dupe for microphone problems?
In other words, let's make the canon dupe first, and then decide whether we should start closing things as duplicates.

Not enough reputation points to post an answer
Short answer: almost always you don't need reputation to post answers, so there must be a misunderstanding or you're running into special cases (like protected questions).

How to post links that integrate with the Software Center?
Canonical seems to have broken apps.ubuntu.com without any announcements. This answer is now out-of-date.

Does it make sense to continue to post links to apps.ubuntu.com in answers?
I'm Flimm, and you can find my investigation into where apps.ubuntu.com is deprecated in this question
