Malicious/Dead link removal Policy, Process, Product requested
I think it's a good general practice to try and clean up these links, but we may or may not ever run in to the problem of someone poisoning the bad domain list or a heuristic picking up on some blog t …

"Weighted" reputation gains
I gave the question an uptick, but I'm in the high rep use boat. I don't downvote though.
I think it's a solid concern that easy to answer questions can get rep rockets, while hard to answer quest …

Can we merge many meta Q&As about "abandoned questions"?
We used to use the "unclear what you're asking" close reason for that, but the verbage to the reason has changed. It used to contain "was only relevant to a specific user or at a specific point in ti …

Can only flag as "very low quality" if is not in the positive for votes
My opinion, if you REALLY wanted to flag that as low quality, you could just use a custom reason and put "Link only answer".
I'd drop a comment first though, saying something like "Link only answers …

A feature to integrate bug-reporting?
There's a question that tells people how to do that, but we can't launch the information gathering tools to report bugs from the webpage. So, I'm not sure that's a do-able solution.
It seems to be w …

So, enhancement to smoke-detector suggested
I suggested something in a conversation about here.
Basically, should we just farm "hot words" from things that are flagged, then if they're in below .01 of questions just add them to smoke detector? …

Can we have an XKCD bot?
Seeing a new XKCD pop in might be fun, but since I recently had to ignore the UL bot/feed - I'm not sure Anyone - including myself needs to say "Let's add some noise..."

A user only asks questions
I like Jorge's answer. I would also add, though, that rep isn't just a trust measure either. It's also a metric for understanding how the system works.
So, if you only ask questions - but you've …

Use browsers' user-agent to alert users they might be on the wrong site
I like this idea. I'll also be interested to see a graph of the numbers of off-topic by distribution before and afters if it happens.

Can we give rep to those who flag questions?
Flagging should not be as gamified as voting. If voting requires thought, flagging is serious.
You shouldn't submit marginal flags.
Adding "points" to something makes it an activity people do t …

Warn on mention of /usr/bin
Wouldn't it be more auspicious to start putting together queries for the database browser for issues and just adding some maintenance feeds for people that are earnestly concerned? For example '/usr/ …

Shouldn't the change of user name be signalled to all people who posted in relation to the f...
I think this is related to me changing my name. Consider what happens if that takes place. I have 500 questions/answers combined. They don't need to know when I change my name. It would be a nuisa …

AskUbuntu Chat Starring mechanism
I agree. I think people often star things in chat to point or agree, but un-star it because it probably doesn't belong on the starred wall.
It may or may not be "just for fun" although I have seen …

Should our FAQs be updated to better define 'Ubuntu +1' topicality?
I'm not sure the FAQ really needs updating.
It opens a lot of doors to questions that would clutter the site (and our answered rate is already dropping). Adding topics surely won't help that.
It …

When a post is edited, deny other users who want to edit the exact same post
It wouldn't be useful to "lock" the post during editing. It would just be a way for spam/rage posts to "lock" their posts to prevent editing out language or links.
