@V2Blast It is beyond the scope of of this Meta question of course but it is on my personal wish list that the network would provide the template for such pages (as is the case now) but then release control and allow editing of all such pages at a site Mod level. I have read discussion debating both sides but my own preference would be for more independence for AU (and other sites) in this area.
Well, we have this on AU: askubuntu.com/conduct but I will leave it 'linkless' just while a few issues are sorted. I am a little cross-eyed from editing the page but I think all the changes are in place, let me know if I have made an error. And thanks for your work on driving this through!
@NotTheDr01ds My apologies that these proposed changes have slipped between the cracks. This particular page can be directly edited by the Mod team (I have already made a small test edit) and I hope to get to it tomorrow, my time. Do you have any further thoughts on the required edits before I get stuck in?
@NotTheDr01ds 4 months is too long I suspect :). My own idea for a time frame for the changes proposed here was about 4 weeks and then submit; I guess I have chosen an arbitrary time. However the page you have looked at in your Meta question can be directly edited by the Moderator team, no CMs required. My apologies that this has perhaps slipped through the cracks, if you give me a little time I will make the edits, hopefully by the end of tomorrow my time.
Mind you there are only 17 questions so it could easily be done manually rather than formally merging. But nice to see some discussion from the community first of course...
And just to get the discussion going there is a nice post on merging / destroying / synonyms for tags here: meta.stackexchange.com/questions/119111/… IMHO this particular tag issue could be solved by merging 'help' into 'Support' without creating a synonym. This of course destructively removes the 'Help' tag from older questions (replacing with 'Support') and leaves the tag clear to be removed by the system after 24 hours of non-use.
