PROPOSAL: Checklist for addressing questions mentioning non-Ubuntu distributions
You’re proposing to change the site’s scope policy that says “you may ask tour using and administering official Ubuntu flavors” and explicitly prohibits “other Linux distributions”. Could you elaborate on how you think this is not policy making?

Why was muru's account suspended?
muru knows as well, but I doubt he wants to talk about it.

Shortcut for adding quotes causes program to quit
There are very good solutions to this, I use vimium.github.io and rarely touch the mouse. Of course that’s a matter of taste.

Unless you have no pointing device. :)

Uh oh, just tested it and Vivaldi behaves differently depending on whether the text field is focused: If it is, Ctrl+Q actually puts highlighted text in a blockquote, only if it isn’t Vivaldi closes. This is not as bad as I thought it would be, not at all. One could still argue it’s a poor shortcut decision as Ctrl+Q is used for “quit program” in many applications, but at least it’s not interfering – unless of course you wanted to close your browser in the middle of writing a question. Every change breaks someone’s workflow.

Why are there so many helpful people?
For me it’s fun. Even the linux kernel itself started as fun and fooling around: “just a hobby, won't be big and professional”

Why is this not a good question?
I assume you infer that from the downvotes. Just for the record: It’s not you that gets hate, it’s the question! A downvote means the voter found your question “unclear or not useful” or that it “does not show any research effort” in their eyes. Don’t take it personally, rather take the tour, read How to Ask and improve your question. Getting a single upvote on a question makes up for two and a half downvotes you received.

"Very low quality" vs "should be closed ---> unclear what you're asking" flags
+1 We lack a VHQ “very high quality” flag.

Is there a policy regarding usernames with only non-English alphabets?
+1: I don’t want a policy, but asking this question is a good thing. Please don’t downvote if you disagree with the idea, rather add an answer stating this fact.

Is there a policy on the use of emojis or emoticons?
@NonnyMoose Right, but of course, replacing it with
$
would clear all confusion and thus be the right thing to do for an editor.
