A downvote to this question is a downvote to posting an “edit review cases” meta post, the style of your post (e.g.: no links) and maybe your individual edits. This has nothing to do with your other actions on the site, let alone your personality.
I never had any regrets switching to this great window manager and want to share the joy. i3 is as lightweight as powerful, easily configurable and well-documented on top of that – in short: an excellent FOSS.
@WinEunuuchs2Unix Note that while OP did write a comment neither did they clarify the question post nor did they answer any other than the first question thoroughly (i.e. in a way that would be of any help).
@WinEunuuchs2Unix The existence of multiple answers doing different things (see error output discussion!) even proves how unclear the question is. My rule of thumb: If there are different ways to interpret a question it can and should be clearified.
