I'm an intermediate PERL programmer (self-taught). Have dabbled in web creation for about 15yrs now, and been an avid computer user since I was a kid. I know HTML inside and out. I am VERY well versed in javascript, and CSS. I know plenty about networking and computers in general, but I am missing some of the finer details. That's why I came here.

Looking for friendly, constructive advice. I often see posts in forums where buddy asks his question, and no one really answers it, not directly, anyway. Mostly, a post just gets critiqued: "why'd you do this, instead of that". I'm hoping this forum is different. so far, so good.
