Stack Exchange network consists of 183 Q&A communities including Stack Overflow, the largest, most trusted online community for developers to learn, share their knowledge, and build their careers.
An alternative would be nice but my understanding is that Ask Ubuntu and Canonical do not at the moment have that sort of relationship. Aspects of this relationship have been dealt with previously on Meta: meta.askubuntu.com/q/19689/57576
The only solution at the moment is patience at the moment I'm afraid... When there is resolution of the current dispute the network spam detector will come back online and both elected and community moderators will once again win against the spammers.
This profit driven plan of Stack Overflow, Inc. has inadvertently surfaced at the worst possible time. Unbelievable, I had thought that the company had already sunk to its lowest possible level in terms of its Community engagement...
@matigo Yes. The Charcoal spam detector has been shutdown as part of the strike and Moderators are not attending spam flags. I believe that SE staff have been sorting some spam...
