An alternative would be nice but my understanding is that Ask Ubuntu and Canonical do not at the moment have that sort of relationship. Aspects of this relationship have been dealt with previously on Meta: meta.askubuntu.com/q/19689/57576

The only solution at the moment is patience at the moment I'm afraid... When there is resolution of the current dispute the network spam detector will come back online and both elected and community moderators will once again win against the spammers.
