I haven't seen the copy/pasta with a spam link yet, but thank you for letting me know to flag for moderation. I've generally viewed that option as a "This is pretty serious and needs an adult" option, so try not to use it liberally.
I thought long and hard about the options for rejection and decided to ask here instead of choosing "the wrong reason". The Attempt to Reply option seemed logical from the description, but the wording of the reason gave me pause, as it didn't really seem like an attempt to reply beyond the comment outlining why the edit was made in the first place. Thanks for the confirmation.
Having some helpful popups for people new (or unfamiliar) with how the site works would certainly be nice. I'll admit that I scratch my head from time to time trying to understand how something should work or what a particular message means 🤐
If votes are the main metric to go by — which does make sense — then perhaps accepting an answer is really only necessary when a bounty is put on a question. I wonder if this is something that could be solved with a magic wand 🤔
