Can a workaround count as an answer?
Yes, of course a workaround is OK, not at the expense of an actual solution but as long as you state it is just a workaround while waiting for a real solution, no problem.

What is the correct thing to do when someone posts two different answers to the same question?
Here is my example, I am not trying to say "This user did this wrong!" … I see no reason, that one question can require two answers from the same user, how best to handle this?
