Are answers more likely to be accepted on superuser than on askubuntu?
There's nothing to be done to change it. Superuser rep+accept is just easier to get than AU rep+accept. If you think it's hard here, try grinding out some rep on serverfault.

The answer I got from a moderator in chat was highest voted answer as a general rule of thumb.
I think it might be more relevant as a general rule for non-moderators like myself.
