Recently, there have been proposed and applied changes regarding “End of Standard Support” and “End of Life”. It is not clear, however, if this policy also applies to the official flavors.

For example:

• Ubuntu MATE 18.04 has reached EOL.
• Xubuntu 18.04 has reached EOL.
• Lubuntu 18.04 has reached EOL.
• Ubuntu Studio 18.04 has reached EOL.
• Kubuntu 18.04 has reached EOL.
• Ubuntu Kylin 18.04 has reached EOL (I couldn't find an announcement though).

While the main version of Ubuntu 18.04 (with GNOME) has not yet reached its “End of Standard Support” or “End of Life”, the flavors have.

I had a conversation with Zanna in the Downboat about this matter, but it seems that there is confusion even among moderators about it.

So, are the EOL flavors considered off-topic in Ask Ubuntu after they reach their EOL or do we continue to support them for as long we support the main version?
