The example question also isn't "how do I get the info from settings?" but rather "how do I paste that info into a question here?"

I suspect it is a duplicate of something, but in spite of the title, it seems to me that this question is much more about Ubuntu itself than about Ask Ubuntu. Note that the body of this post consists entirely of a specific technical question about how to do something in Ubuntu.
