I created a new tag, , but it was replaced with on one of my questionsone of my questions. I'd like to challenge this, and propose the creation of the tag for things related to CSM under the UEFI spec.

While is also covered by , so are many other BIOS-related technologies, which all have their own respective tags. It has enough weight to stand on its own, similar to how can stand its weight against , even though the latter can very easily cover the former.

I thinkcreated a new tag, should be a valid new tag, but someone changed it towas replaced with on my question (ISO Linux 6.03 error booting Live USB) where I was contrasting itone of my questions. Was I wrong thinkingWhile csm for is also covered by Compatibility Support Module was a meaningful tag? Sure it's part of BIOS but, so are UEFI, SECURE BOOT, HDD, SSD, CD, DVD, DATE, TIME, BOOT ORDERmany other BIOS-related technologies, WAKE ON LAN and USB which mightall have their own respective tags already. By changing csm to bios one could make exaggerated argument it's akinIt has enough weight to changing all existing tagsstand on its own, similar to computer

I thinkhow is a valid new tag. Many incorrectly can stand its weight against (from a technical point) call it BIOS BOOT or LEGACY BOOT because before UEFI it used to be, even though the ONLY BOOTlatter can very easily cover the former.
