I don't think people should be harassed and chased down by potentially duplicating questions. This is 2019, and there are millions of questions already asked - it is practically impossible for your question not to have been asked before, and we don't waste our time memorising the questions on this site off-by-heart. Ok, I userstand that posting a question about Debian in AskUbuntu is wrong, and that is understandable, but duplicates, really? You think duplicating is breaking the rules, I think harassing new contributors like you do is breaking rules - after all, it does say "user is a new contributor, be nice and check the code of conduct". But you are not nice. They might be making a duplicate, but you are the ones breaking the real rules, as new users are afraid to even lift a finger on this site in fear of being harassed by you. In fact, I don't even use Ubuntu mainly anymore - I have switched to Debian where the community are more friendly.
