@user16217248 - yes, completely agree -I’ve started doing that too. The upsurge in spam offends me - though I’m heartened by how quickly it is taken down in most cases!

I don’t want to undermine a strike - but I hate the crap spam that’s flooding the site at the moment. Best to downvote or flag as spam or both? Normally I just flag but I’m assuming there may be delays due to this strike so downvotes may be more effective?

You are absolutely right. The funny thing is, I had no idea I was watching a tag ... for some reason I was watching 'permissions' - must have been a phantom click - so I've un-watched it and the yellow has gone. Mystery solved, thanks!

@andrew.46 - thank you. I did in fact mean censor, ie the site suppress the votes. I'm not advocating that at all!

@NotTheDr01ds - I searched using the built-in tool - good tip (re Google), thank you. I think the search I did gave several pages of results - I suspect the Q & A you referenced was there was buried in 15 pages of answers if I'd looked more carefully! Thanks again.
