I am a wood and metal worker who likes a machine to work when used. I was driven to Linux because of the ability to, and support for, building an OS to fit my needs. I fell on Ubuntu because of the wide support, and am branching out into other Linux flavors as a hobby.
I am currently working on a Linux Foundation System Admin certification, for the purpose of achieving a goal and to gain experience tinkering with computers.
I enjoy the macabre, motorcycles, and building things. I am not much of a consumer and so don't like being boxed into the confines of proprietary software. Losing the drivers for a printer every time Windows updated, was the last straw for me.
Like Hannibal Lecter I am "deeply offended by rudeness".
