@William: Well - keep in mind that nobody can create an app that posts questions / answers yet because the API only offers read-only access.

@William: Unfortunately yes - it means you cannot do anything that modifies / creates content on the site.

I should also point out that the version in the repositories is kind of old (version 1.4) - you can install 1.5 rc3 from the StackApplet PPA.
