I echo Marco's sentiments exactly - this isn't about stifling free speech at all. We simply don't permit any form of signature at the end of posts (or at the beginning either for that matter). We really appreciate your gratitude but your profile would be a better place to express this.

@Wilf according to the rules above, "Must be hosted through our standard image uploader (imgur)", so that would rule out external hosting. That being said, exceptions have been made in the past (see this answer). If in doubt, open a question here on Meta.
