I've been bitching about Microsoft for years. I have now finally made the jump to Linux via Xubuntu. I wish more people would do the same, that is gain some degree of independence from MS, Apple, Google, etc. By asking questions here, and having other people, for now, answering them for anyone to read, we promote these goals.

I've done a bit of programming a while back. I am mostly a desktop user, anxious to do other things with my computer than do email, watch movies, look for answers to my computer questions, and prepare a good backup strategy.
