Transferring ownership of a question
Like I said, "If you no longer have a vested interest in the question and it hasn't been reasonably answered (or you can no longer provide requested details)" It appears that question has been sufficiently answered. There's really no need to transfer ownership to someone else. If the answer doesn't work for someone new they can open a new question, citing your original question as their starting point, and the conversation can move forward from there.

Please don't do it all the time.

Flagging and answering?
It's bad community practice, not only does it make more work for moderators it makes it more inconvenient for users who are new to the site. You are all here as editors and maintainers of the site, the reputation really shouldn't be your primary goal

There is no Shell Tag?
In short, no. This isn't needed which is why it doesn't exist.

Has rep required to edit questions been increased?
@James It does make it a low quality edit. Don't just focus on one aspect of a question when you can fix many. Edits that are too minor, which we've taken to mean it only fixes one small aspect of another wise "troubled" question, are no good in our eyes. If you're going to take the time to edit (and bump the question) please edit the entire question to make it of higher quality. Titles are just one small portion of the quality game at Ask Ubuntu.

How to point out the real answer when another was selected by the question's author?
Just went though and did a bit of...cleanup. Cheers!

Does this question fits in on AskUbuntu?
Unless you delete a bunch of questions, I think you'll be OKay, but it's up to you.
