Should this question be closed or answered?
I'd thought answering was the way to go, but doubting myself. Cheers for clearing that up.

How does this works?
OK, after seeing some of your other questions I can see that you're getting frustrated with people editing for spelling and grammar reasons. It happens to all of us, hopefully it makes questions and answers clearer for everybody. I even had the word 'less' changed to 'fewer', it is more accurate but felt petty, so I understand your frustration. Just ignore it, people are genuinely trying to help (on an unpaid basis). Good questions and well received posts do correlate with precise, focused questions that are easier to understand and help with.

Should an answer be literally what OP asks for?
Is this a good candidate for editing the question or question title? If the title was something like 'How do I automate starting my app?' there would be no ambiguity as they're no longer explicitly asking for a script.

Off Topic Questions: Comment Etiquette
If you're using Firefox, there's an add-on called AutoReviewComments which allows you to automatically add preconfigured comments, depending on whether you're commenting on a question or answer. You can add your own custom comments, and they support the SE "magic links". It makes it much easier to politely direct users to more appropriate sites with a couple of clicks.

Cleanup Project using SEDE Query
-1 for the use of business buzz-word 'low hanging fruit'. Nah just kidding, sounds like a noble quest, and a well organized way of going about it.

What is the intent of the AskUbuntu reputation threshold to enable commenting?
It can seem frustrating in the short time before you gain any rep, but you can quite quickly get past it. I was also completely new to Linux when I first started using the site. You can ask a new question if you need a more detailed piece of information about an existing topic, if your question gets marked as a duplicate, you can edit the question to distinguish it from the linked dupe. A problem I had at the start was that I lacked the knowledge to know what terms to search under. This improves over time. Is there anything you particularly need help with?
