Can we fix this tag or should we just [uninstall]?
@ThomasWard package-management covers software installation/uninstallation/reinstallation using package managers. Unless the user can't identity a package manager or is doing everything from source, that fits.

1) That question is about "OS-Uninstaller" not about os uninstallation. 2) OS-Unistaller is a glorified table partition editor, which unlike others, don't allow you to modify, create or format partitions. Just delete them. 3) In concept, there's no OS uninstaller, because such thing makes no sense. You just remove all partitions/format the disk and optionally install a OS afresh.

I'm asking how do you accomplish said task, not how should it be called. Because, and I'm sure you know, no sane OS allows you to remove itself from within, because it would leave the system unusable.

How do you "uninstall" a system.

@Levente and yet, I've been able to figure those out. I simply test them.

Where's the link of the "solid policy"?

Questions about Ubuntu 18, 20, 22 that *really* intend 18.04, 20.04, 22.04
For this question and most questions, it doesn't matter. A good answer takes into account all potential versions and answer all of them at the same time. In this case, it should be there but it isn't. So either Ubuntu decided not to show it, or it can be toggled somehow.

Should we be concerned with prolific downvoters?
@JacobVlijm on average, 37.2 percent of all non-registered users votes are downvotes vs merely 10.8 percent of registered ones, despite having almost the same amount of votes. I would argue that we need more downvotes.

Was it necessary to close "Is a clean install better than upgrading?" as opinion-based?
@Dan if we have other opinion based questions, we should be closing them as opinion based, not as duplicates. Closing as duplicate opinion based questions doesn't serve any meaningful purpose but making harder to remove the opinion based target.

Out of context comments from the community bot
@Zanna the SE team is staunchly for that feature, so bring it up on the Teacher's Lounge or uber meta. Otherwise, you will be against the tide.

Why does the tag `kali-linux-tools` even exist? It would help if it were removed
Is not a problem with the edit itself, is that people literally don't read it. It could be perfect for the people that reads it, but those are already aware that there's information to be found there and would not misuse the tag. Editing the tag excerpt is not the solution.

"the description should be updated to be much more precise" that rarely (read never) works.

Should we unpin the accepted answer from the top of the list?
"is that they are momentum that is hard to overcome in the event that things change" this answer of mine would like to disagree
