@someone I agree, it is decent. It works, but... I feel it is very outdated considering how the rest of the SE sites look. I tried to find a dupe both here and on Meta SE, but surprisingly, I couldn't find anything asking for a chat re-design. Chat should look good (and modern) on all platforms, not just mobile.
@heynnema I respectfully disagree. To decide if they should ask the OP to add something, they should simply read the question to see if it is already there. They shouldn't have to read the comments.
Yeah... it would be nice (and I would support it on Meta SE, for that matter) if there was a "notify me when this question is edited, but don't for other things" feature. Like, I might want to say "Tell me if this question is commented on or edited, but don't tell me if an answer was posted". I would support that fully. I see why you were annoyed that you weren't told that it was edited, though/
@Zanna When you say, "Please flag any bad comments, canned or otherwise", while you can flag comments made by people as "unfriendly or unkind", you can't flag comments made by Community as "unfriendly or unkind" (see this ). Also, I found the origin of that canned comment.
Well, if it is about copyright, it probably belongs on Law SE, not here. I can't think of a situation where it would matter that the package publisher is an employee of Amazon. When I have a question, the issue, and some relevant details matter. Where the OP is employed is largely irrelevant.
@Zanna Yup. As I mentioned here, I'd appreciate if it let me use a canned comment, followed immediately by the flag dialog. As someone less than 10k, I thought suggesting deletion (a) left the comment, but (b) also put it into some sort of queue for high rep users/mods to deal with. I'm honestly very surprised that it doesn't
