You asked why you couldn't use your Ubuntu One account to log in to this site. I explained how you could do so (well, I explained how to use Ubuntu SSO: Ubuntu One doesn't actually manage your credentials).

The difference is that Ubuntu, Kubuntu and Xubuntu share the same package archive, while the unofficial derivatives add and replace packages. In the same way you wouldn't report an Ubuntu bug against Debian without first verifying that Debian is also affected, you should verify your question is relevant against Ubuntu first. If it is, then ask it in the context of Ubuntu. If it isn't, then your problem may be due to one of the areas where your distro isn't Ubuntu.

I think most people know that their command output listings or similar would look better preformatted. In most cases, it seems that the new users either don't know how to do this or don't know it is possible. So making the editing help more obvious might improve things.
