As a fellow non-moderator, I cannot view most flags, nor any deleted comments. But from what I can see from your description here and the comments and status of the question, I don't think you've even remotely approached overstepping your bounds. Basically: you're fine. I think in your initial three-item bulleted list here, you've actually enumerated four ...

If you feed the system three or more copypastas, it'll be sick and tell the moderators on you. I don't say that to say it's wrong but it's there to stop people plastering the site in junk. First really ask yourself if one of the questions needs to be open. If copy-and-pasting works completely, there's an expectation that one of the questions will probably ...

You should feel free to downvote any post you really think is useless. Furthermore, it was probably good you informed the answer's author that you were unsure if you responded appropriately and that you were posting on meta. This might have helped to clarify the possibility that your words did not reflect site policy. Besides that, though, in my opinion, ...

I copied and pasted my own answer from another question, modifying it slightly so as to fit the fact that the question was put differently. I have 5 answers that are more or less 80% the same answer, just trimmed and chopped and regurgitated to different proposes, which off the top of my head only remember two: I can boot Ubuntu only if I plug my USB How ...

Everything there looks fine to me. As far as tone goes; the site is community moderated, the standard of behavior should be the same -- you were helpful and courteous and the user ultimately found their solution. At the end of the day, the one answer was incorrect, science wins every time! Only thing I would do is flag the answers on the new question to ...

I would say it might be discourteous to post anyone's email online without their permission. There are spam bots that go around looking for email addresses and the project manager may not want any extra email. The Right Thing to Do™ here may be to refer to the document in which you found the person's email address. If this is not feasible, consider asking ...

That was a pretty funny question title, but I don't think that is the only reason he locked it, based on James comment, the comment section was full of comments about the word clit and as that is still in the question, it will likely stay closed to avoid further discussion. You can't search for that question without getting porn as the result and I ...

I have now edited the answer to i) fix the issue with grades falling on the bin boundaries and ii) remove the inappropriate output. I don't understand why this was not simply done in the first place. I agree with everything that Eliah said in his answer, and I really don't understand why 4 people downvoted instead of just editing or, at least, also editing. ...

I'd have no problem with you posting the same answer a million times over as long as they answered different questions. This is a case where it is not only clear that they are duplicate but also that you knew the older question existed because you posted to both within a matter of minutes. If you were a new user, yeah, I'd probably suggest more delicate ...

If it's the same question, you should ask for it to be migrated to the appropriate site. For instance, an Ubuntu question may well be on topic at SuperUser, but it should ideally be on AU. Google is the User interface. Having a question in multiple places does not increase its visibility.

Without looking at the topic it is about: if you can copy the answer the question is (more than likely) a duplicate and should be flagged as such. --- edit --- Was this moderator wrong to warn me for doing this, or was I in the wrong for re-using parts of my answers? My opinion? no and yes. Comments were disabled on my deleted answer so I had no ...

There isn't a way to not award a bounty. If you don't do it manually, it will go to the answer with the most votes when it expires. This is a good thing, I mean, it would defeat the point of bounties if they didn't get awarded and just 'hung in mid air' after they expired. So, since you don't know which answer is right, the one with the most votes is ...
