We're missing a few important entries from the current closing process so I'm rewriting some of the current reasons. I've just asked the other mods to read over them but thought a bit of public input couldn't hurt either!
Most of these are based on what we've done in the past and on existing meta subjects about this.
Questions that don't involve Ubuntu are off-topic here. Questions about other Unix or Linux distributions should be asked on Unix & Linux Stack Exchange, questions about Microsoft Windows should be asked on Super User and questions about Apple operating systems should be asked on Ask Different.
Bug reports and problems with the development version of Ubuntu should be reported on Launchpad so that developers can see, track and fix these issues.
This questions is about an End of Life Ubuntu Release which are no longer supported and are therefore off-topic. To upgrade, see: How to install software or upgrade from old unsupported release?
Questions describing a problem that can't be reproduced and seemingly went away on its own are off-topic as they are unlikely to help future readers.
Of course there are four there and I'm still waiting to hear back to see if we can do that but let me know if you think any of these need improving and how you would do it. There is a character limit (and the first is 1-char off it!) so remember we can't fit a whole book in these things.
These are compatible with existing reasons so assuming I don't hear anything super-negative back, we'll try to get these through in the next couple of days. Hopefully along with an EOL entry too.
