Flag them as rude / offensive for moderation attention and make sure they are away next time you visit the post.
Makes no sense EVER to threaten users with down votes when we are talking about community edited content.
If you understand what is wrong, fix it, if you don't then you don't even have reasons to be judging. If you cannot fix it or the post is all bad then flag it, down vote it, ask for someone to fix it on chat, etc. Threats are just simply not helping anyone.
