I just ran a search for install eclipse and I was surprised to see, as the top search result:

  1. Install Eclipse

  2. eclipse install

These are both marked (respectively) as duplicates of:

  1. How to install Eclipse?

  2. How do I install Eclipse Indigo 3.7.1?.

Curiously, neither of these questions appears on the first page of results, even though How to install Eclipse? far outranks the others in votes (84 vs zeroes).

Is this desired behaviour? Should this be changed?

Yes it should be changed.

This is not good, it makes it look like we don't take any care over tidying up the site.

It is also bad, because they will click on one, and then have to click again to get to the good answer. Even worse, the current answers on the dupes may be wrong / damaging in some way.

I think that the relevant tab at least should take into account duplicates, and automatically show the redirected one.
