May 4, 2012 at 19:35 comment added lesderid @fossfreedom I've tried to add most of it to the question, thanks! If I've forgot anything, you're welcome to make an edit.
May 4, 2012 at 19:14 comment added fossfreedom Mod @lesderid - you've got some vital information in your comments - please add this to the Meta question / Ask Ubuntu question rather than hiding in comment form - thanks!
May 4, 2012 at 19:03 comment added lesderid Anyway, you are talking about my question alone, but I'm also asking this for possible future questions.
May 4, 2012 at 19:02 comment added lesderid About GRUB, I haven't tried this, but I know from other questions and previous experience (although with other computers) that Windows (usually) deletes any other present bootloader on the MBR. The reason why I added this to the question is because I'd need to restore GRUB using an USB drive, which I wouldn't know how to do.
May 4, 2012 at 19:00 comment added lesderid It's Ubuntu-only and that it's an Apple computer is very important here, since Macs boot in a different way than 'regular' computers (The difference between BIOS and EFI is one of the reasons for this.).
