This meta post is intended to encourage established users to help discover and promote good questions posted by general users with low rep. Then again, if anyone had bookmarked and aware of such questions, then they can also suggest that here too. May be better than doing advanced search by myself--recently I had wasted -200 points and failed to get any good answer for such questions. | |
Dec 21, 2019 at 14:22 | comment | added | Mark Kirby | Another alternative to get some more interaction could be to open it up to include the highly voted but unanswered questions askubuntu.com/unanswered and try to encourage answers on them but this is different to what you intend in the post and could result in the rep going to waste. That is all I can think of right now but it would be a shame to see another one of these offers go to waste. | |

Meta is frequented by established users who have the rep and amount of content that offering a bounty is trivial and they will earn the rep back passively in just a few days. This means that if they think something deserves a bounty, they just award it and move on. I think this post would get a lot more answers if there was some way to get it to the general users, who do not use meta. unfortunately, I don't know a way to achieve that. | |
