Jul 19, 2017 at 20:33 comment added endrias Ad block doesn't really sing much on any of the stack overflow sites. So why bother?

Jul 11, 2017 at 8:33 comment added nutty about natty ABP has an "acceptable ads policy", which roughly implies that ads meeting certain criteria will not be blocked by default. (Opt-out to block also these ads is possible.) Why, then, are these SO ads blocked? Incommensurate definitions of "acceptable" of SO and the ABP-company?

Jul 11, 2017 at 3:52 comment added muru @tudor there was a limited time discounted offer where ISPs could insert their own ads, including the one you'd like to show. Unfortunately, with the shift to HTTPS, you'd need to be able to MITM, so it's way more expensive now.
Jul 11, 2017 at 2:52 comment added tudor -Reinstate Monica- Aww man! So you mean I can't run an ad that pops up taking over the whole browser window, plays a video and ends with "Download Stackoverflow for Free for a limited time!"?? :-p
