Aug 8, 2016 at 19:18 comment added Andrea Lazzarotto @Pilot6 alright I guess "sad" was not the best word choice. :D My point was that I basically agree with you.
Aug 8, 2016 at 19:16 comment added Pilot6 @AndreaLazzarotto I am not sad at all. I am a lawyer and I know what happens if there is no good rule. I am trying to trigger a discussion and work out one.
Aug 8, 2016 at 19:15 comment added Andrea Lazzarotto @Pilot6 I don't know if this makes you any less sad, but I am getting used to see my flags declined myself. It seems that the (good) intention to be friendly on AU is skewing toward accepting any kind of poor answer, sometimes.
Aug 8, 2016 at 17:01 comment added Pilot6 This a valid argument. If you are too hard on usage of very slightly different flags, then people will just stop doing anything. So far mods can't quite agree on what the difference is. You think that it is more important to get everyone use a correct flag. I am pointing out that it is much more important to help mods in deleting poor post, than to make it an unclear "correct" way. And after all discussion I do not see ANY reason to delete a post and at the same time decline a flag. It may be a "wrong" flag, but it is helpful. If it is done another way, mods will have more work.
Aug 8, 2016 at 16:55 comment added jokerdino Mod @Pilot6 your reply to edwinksl just above should give you a clue about what kind I am talking about.
Aug 8, 2016 at 16:37 comment added Pilot6 @jokerdino Can you be more specific what is wrong in my "conduct"?
Aug 8, 2016 at 16:33 comment added jokerdino Mod @Pilot6 No need to be disruptive. I understand your concern with your declined flags and I personally would have approved these flags as helpful bar one but your conduct here is less than ideal and is not something I would have expected from someone who has been here for a while now.
Aug 8, 2016 at 15:51 comment added Seth Mod @Pilot6 I almost always mark VLQ helpful if I delete the post. Everything is a little different after an election though, with new people and new opinions. We are going to have a meeting and discuss VLQ so it gets handled more predictably in the future, and probably have a meta post with some details. Seems like everyone is confused about it all of a sudden.
Aug 8, 2016 at 15:49 comment added Seth Mod @edwinksl NAA. link only should always be NAA.
Aug 8, 2016 at 15:49 comment added Pilot6 @edwinksl It is safer not to flag at all. Let mods do something themselves. They need some more work I guess.
Aug 8, 2016 at 15:48 comment added edwinksl @Seth What about a link-only answer? Do we flag that as VLQ or NAA?
Aug 8, 2016 at 15:48 comment added Pilot6 But the question is why tons of my VLQ flags have been approved before? ;-) What has changed?
Aug 8, 2016 at 15:37 comment added Pilot6 That IS clear. Thx.
Aug 8, 2016 at 15:37 comment added Seth Mod @Pilot6 Please don't. There are almost 0 use cases for it as it was originally designed.
Aug 8, 2016 at 15:34 comment added Pilot6 Nothing is easy. The only thing I got is not to use this flag.
Aug 8, 2016 at 15:32 comment added Seth Mod @Pilot6 If only it was that easy..
Aug 8, 2016 at 15:31 comment added Pilot6 Remove the flag if you hate it.
