Currently it is the nomination phase of the Ask Ubuntu 2012 community moderator election. It has been observed that it is not possible to edit comments to nominees. When clicking the edit link next to a comment nothing happens. This seems to be a bug.

I use Firefox 9.0.1.

This is probably because comments have a higher weight in the election than they do on the site. As such saying "This person rules" but then editing it to say "Booo!" might cause confusion. Deleting then re-adding is probably the goal of the comments to keep a threaded conversation observable –  Marco Ceppi Jan 31 '12 at 13:21
@MarcoCeppi But why is there a dead edit link next to your own recent comments? –  N.N. Jan 31 '12 at 13:24
Odd, I have been able to edit mine. –  jrg Jan 31 '12 at 13:25

This has been fixed, however...

The Amsterdam CDN node is having some issues and serving an older version of the file (ie, pre-bug-fix). We've contacted their support and hope this resolves soon.

(You can tell if you're hitting Amsterdam by clicking here

I get "You are hitting the NetDNA Amsterdam Datacenter" from that link. –  N.N. Jan 31 '12 at 16:56
